CPO Training

At Aquapure, we have a thorough understanding of the challenges that aquatic facility staff members face. The CPO® course we teach is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operation.  This body of knowledge is covered in the eighteen (18) chapters, as well as the glossary and appendices, of the CPO® Handbook. At the conclusion of either the full 2-day classroom course or the CPO® Blended Course (mixed classroom and online instruction) which begins with the online Pool Operator Primer ™ participants should:

  • Understand the role an operator plays in pool and management
  • Develop a network of resource materials and personal contacts
  • Be able to help identify and minimize physical, chemical, and biological hazards
  • Be familiar with various local regulations and industry standards governing pool operation
  • Understand the need for testing and documentation as it relates to the pool and spa operation
  • Perform pool calculations as they relate to pool and equipment measurements and chemical usage computations

Participants should also understand the basic concepts of:

  • Water quality management
  • System components and maintenance
  • Pool and spa design
  • Special needs of hot water spa environments

If you are interested in the Blended Course complete the Registration Form and write on the Form – Blended Course. Once you receive your access code from Aqua Pure, register on line for the Pool Operator Primer™ program. The course must be completed within six months, and you must attend the Pool Operator Fusion Course™ offered by Aqua Pure and take the written exam. All the courses I teach are designed for all students and the 2nd day of any course will include the Pool Operator Fusion to complete the On-Line training program to obtain your certificate. On your registration form you will state which class you will attend. Please arrive prior to class with your Record of Completion and a valid picture I.D.

We look forward to meeting each and every student and working with them not only in the class room, but on a continued basis. Please register as soon as possible so we may forward a handbook, instructions, and math worksheet so you may begin preparing for your class, and your access code if taking the Blended Course.
